Get a 2D image from 3D octomap given a camera pose

Hi! I want to get a 2D image from 3D octomap given a single camera pose in octomap coordinates. Is there any way to do this? This looks like a pretty basic graphics question, is there any built-in function or method that we could use in ros-octomap?
