turtlesim won't respond to keyboard inputs

I am following ROS2 for Beginners and on turtlesim it is not responding at all to my keyboard inputs.

I'm on an Ubuntu 22.04 Virtualbox VM. What could I try to ifx this?

Hello, thanks for responding, I figured it out by looking through the other answers and saw that if I am using a terminal emulator? like Terminator, that terminal with the keyops has to be the active one, not any other.
